  1. Will the Debug Mode screens be translated to English? Below is a link to a post on The Cutting Room Floor's website.

  2. I just started playing through your translation last night and really enjoying it. I was just curious if the Debug Mode screens were planned in future releases, which you replied to above.. maybe something for v1.4 or v1.5. (BTW, I'm currently unable to register an account with blogspot, not sure why it won't register I keep getting taken to an error screen, but this is reason I chose to post as Anonymous). Either way, thank you for your time spent translating this wonderful game. ;)

    1. As for debugger - our programmer says it was actually done and should be in even in the first or second version. As for blogspot - no idea.

    2. Please, send the screenshots of untranslated text if you have any. After having checked the debugger data, it seems to have been done by now.

    3. Will there be more translations of nes games?

    4. No idea, to be honest. More yes than no. We do shift platforms from time to time, though.

    1. Can you please provide a save state or memory card? But it's most likely the emulator issue.

  4. Hello, I found a weird texture glitch: https://i.imgur.com/6pmnxv4.jpg

This happens when visiting that room in GamiGami City in chapter 3. It was not present in chapter 1.

I am not sure if this is a bug in the game itself, or something introduced by the translation patch. I am fairly sure it is not an emulator issue, since I can reproduce it on three different emulators: Beetle PSX HW, PCSX ReARMed, and SwanStation.

If you want to take a look, here are the save state and memory card files:

    1. I think I remember this one. Pretty sure that was random emulation glitch. Cause I saw it myself randomly. Will take a look, though, thanks.

    2. Hi there! I came across a glitch during the battle with Yaboo where the last letter of his name is displayed as a glitched image. I'm currently playing the latest version on Duckstation and haven't experienced any other bugs or glitches in the game so far. It's a emulation error? How can I solve this?

    3. This is most likely an emulation but, but I can't tell anything more without a way to replicate it - an pcsx savestate or memory card (if it's not random and glitches every time in that place).

    4. Yes, it is an issue with the emulator. I was using Duckstation and noticed that the save state is not compatible with pcsx. The memory card save is located in the White Village, which is quite far from where the battle with Yaboo takes place. To reach there, you have to go through an entire dungeon and engage in several battles.

To resolve the issue, I conducted tests with other emulators using the memory card save. I discovered that some emulators display a Japanese character instead of the last letter of Yaboo's name, causing glitches. In Duckstation, the letter is shown as a glitched image. However, when I used the XEBRA emulator, which prioritizes accurate emulation, the correct letter "O" appeared instead of a Japanese character or glitched image.

I'm currently playing the game and posting my progress on YouTube. The translation work you all have done is outstanding, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

    5. Well, there can be many reasons for this glitch, the most common of which are some plugins or emulators. In order to debug any psx game, we need a pcsx save state or memory card somewhere close to the bug if it can be replicated easily (if not - it's another story). I played the game on epsxe and pcsx, and never encountered that bug so it's either very random or emulator specific and might be also in the original game. Memory Cards should be compatible for all emulators.
